In the middle of a volcanic crater, Sabine and Olaf's self-designed architect's house is situated on a 1,150 m² natural plot. With breathtaking views and an incomparable atmosphere, this vacation home is a dream for nature lovers.
The core as well as the facade, the terrace and most of the interior fittings are made of high-quality wood. Natural materials were also used for further finishing to ensure a healthy and pleasant climate in the house. The folding shutters made of natural wood not only serve as sun protection, but also create a cozy atmosphere. Due to the solid construction and the use of sustainable materials, the house stays cool in summer even without air conditioning, while in winter the wood stove and underfloor heating provide cozy warmth.
On the first floor, the 5.5-meter living room is the center of the house and includes an open kitchen, a dining area and access to the gallery in the attic. A bedroom with a double bed and views of the valley, as well as a bathroom with shower and sauna are also located on the lower floor. A second bedroom with two single beds can be found on the gallery above the study. Through the skylight you can admire the clear starry sky of the Volcanic Eifel at night.
The cottage offers three terraces and a meadow with a hammock. Here you can fully enjoy nature and the tranquility of the surroundings, while every now and then a few deer pass by.
There are many activities you can do in the surrounding area. A ski resort is only 20 minutes away by car. Near the house are also several maars, including the volcanic lake and the Pulvermaar, where you can even swim. Hikers also get their money's worth in this incomparable landscape.

Hello, we are Sabine and Olaf, your hosts in the wonderful vacation home, which we have created together with our family with much love. Sabine is an architect and interior designer and has taken over the design and planning of our domicile. Together we realized the project with passion and personal effort. We deliberately chose the natural plot in the middle of a volcanic crater and have since fallen in love with this place full of diverse nature, hills, meadows and maars. Our walks in the surrounding area and especially our evening walks to the Immerather Maar give us great pleasure. Our main concern is to give our guests a wonderful time in the middle of this breathtaking landscape.

It’s a very calm and peaceful place. We loved the quiet atmosphere. The view from the kitchen area is very beautiful. We had some very nice days with long walks through the the woods near by, sauna and just relaxing in the house.
