Welcome to this modern mountain cabin, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Located at 1000 meters above sea level, the cabin has large windows with views of the mountain landscape.
The interior is welcoming and comfortable, with a large lounge sofa perfect for unwinding after a long day outdoors. The cabin has three bedrooms and two beautiful bathrooms, as well as a sofa bed in the loft, providing plenty of space for the whole family.
Outside the cottage, you'll find a south-facing terrace, a perfect place to enjoy both summer and winter days. The surrounding area is ideal for summer and fall activities, with great mountain trails right outside the cabin. These are family-friendly. Famous and slightly more challenging peaks nearby are Bosnuten and Vehuskjerringi, both with stunning views. In summer, you can visit Fagerstranda with its sandy beach and canoe rental. This is just 10-15 minutes by car from our cabin.
The area also offers many sights and activities, from summit hikes to Lårdalsstigen and Gaustadtoppen (1883 m above sea level), to the Soria Moria sauna at the historic Dalen hotel and a refreshing dip in the Telemark Canal 1 hour's drive from the cabin. Dalen is also the starting point for the grand walk Lårdalsstigen which offers superb views above the historic Telemark canal. At the end of the walk you can take a beautiful old boat back to Dalen. For those interested in history, there is an exciting museum in Rjukan which tells the story of the heavy water action during World War II. Rjukan is listed as a world heritage town and is about a 50-minute drive from the cabin. Rjukan offers bunjy jumping over a river fall and you can take a cable car, Krosso banen, to the opposite side of Gaustadtoppen for perfect pictures. There is also a climbing park. On bad weather days, you can go to the beautiful water park in Rjukan or the national reindeer museum at Møsvatnet.

Hi, I am the owner of this beautiful cottage together with my husband Iwan. We love this place both winter and summer. For us, the cabin is a second home and we use it a lot ourselves. We are a family of four who really appreciate the outdoors and all that the mountains have to offer. We hope you will find the cabin as relaxing and inviting as we do. Welcome to the cabin!
On the terracce in front of the cottage there is an outdoor table with chairs, as well as sun chairs. You can also use a big fire pan for grilling or to keep warm in late summer evenings.
