250 m²
Close to the sea and protected nature is Kågården. A charming and idyllic house located in scenic surroundings on Naturdestination Skovsgaard's land. Here you can enjoy a unique view of the estate's protected meadows and wild pastures, which are home to both cattle and wild horses. With only 200 meters to Påø Beach, a unique location by protected nature and a few kilometers to Skovsgaard's main buildings, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature and explore wild nature experiences.
The farmhouse is charming with classic mullioned windows, beautiful old wooden floors and lots of natural light. Open the living room's double doors in the summer and invite nature inside while enjoying the evening sun and views of the protected meadows and wildlife. On cold days, retreat inside, light the wood-burning stove and gather in front of it for a cup of hot chocolate after a scenic walk with flushed cheeks.
The area around Nature Destination Skovsgaard is full of experiences. Take a walk through the 250 hectares of wild pastures, visit the main buildings or take the kids on a hunt for exciting species in nature. With only 200 meters to the sea, you can also enjoy a swim or just the stunning views of the Langeland Belt.
It is very important that all pets are kept on a leash when in the wild grazing areas.

Skovsgaard Gods, also known as Naturdestination Skovsgaard, is located on southern Langeland in scenic surroundings. Today, the estate is owned by Danmarks Naturfond, which was founded by the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. For this, we owe a big thank you to a very special woman.
Miss Ellen Fuglede was the last and only heir to Naturdestination Skovsgaard. As she had no heirs, it was very important to her that the site could be preserved as a whole. Therefore, she bequeathed the estate and its 389 hectares to the Danish Society for Nature Conservation, which was later taken over by the Danish Nature Foundation. The legacy to the foundation is a gift, but also a task. For the unmarried Miss Fuglede, the nature around Naturdestination Skovsgaard was the most precious thing she owned, and therefore it was very important to her that the property and nature remained in nature-conserving hands.
Today, you can visit Naturdestination Skovsgaard, which is filled with exciting and wild nature experiences for families with children and nature enthusiasts. Here you can also explore the estate's 400 hectares of land, 245 of which are set aside for protected meadows and wild grazing with cattle and wild horses.
We hope you will enjoy your stay in Kågården, one of three charming farms on Skovsgaard's land.

My family and I (an average of 4 adults and a baby a day) stayed at Kågården for the whole week of summer, until we had to leave - it was simply an adventurous experience. The location is unique - in the middle of wild nature, virtually no traffic, but peace and quiet - and dark at night. A short 5-minute walk to the morning sea bath. - The farmhouse is old, but very charming and with good room distribution. The walls and ceilings are freshly painted, everything works, including the bathroom and toilet. The many photos of Kågården together give a true picture of the place - it was neat and clean everywhere except the kitchen. For example, 2 of the 3 freezer compartments had not been emptied - and the refrigerator's vegetable drawer had not been cleaned either. The kitchen seemed dirty and would benefit from a general cleaning and a sorting of drawers and cupboards - In the packing list for the stay at Kågården, it was pointed out that you do not "need to bring toilet paper and paper towels [...] and washing up tablets." There were indeed paper towels, but no toilet paper - and only one dishcloth - I received a reminder shortly before the day of departure about how to leave the place, including "clean the cupboards..." which was not on the list originally sent out... The wording and facts should be tightened up... Finally, there is unreserved praise for the staff at Skovsgårds Gods. We were greeted with smiles and friendliness, information about the place was skillfully communicated, and the café made delicious, simple lunch dishes at very reasonable prices. Best regards Kirsten L.
