In beautiful North Jutland - just a stone's throw from the wild North Sea - lies this newly renovated, black wooden summer house. The house is surrounded by rugged and wild nature, and is only 50 meters down to the beach path that will take you to Uggerby Strand. A lovely, white and child-friendly beach - and actually one of the widest beaches we have in Denmark.
The house was completed in the summer of 2022 after a thorough renovation. Everything is bright, nice and Scandinavian. You will be greeted by large, lovely living areas with large windows that let the light flood in. The large windows give you the feeling of being at one with nature and the dunes of North Jutland, which are just on the other side of the glass. There's plenty of room for family fun and relaxation in this beautiful, minimalist setting. A lot of thought has gone into the details of this well-executed holiday home. Natural and matte colors interact with black shades, lime paint and raw elements, creating a bold, consistent contrast throughout the house.
There are plenty of opportunities for activities outside the house, which has a lovely garden and terrace that is sheltered from the wind and wind from the house's noisy neighbor: the North Sea. Play a game of soccer with the kids in the garden. Enjoy the sun on the terrace with a cup of coffee. We are Sara and Frederik, in our mid-30s and live together in Copenhagen. Sara works as an independent architect and Frederik as a marketing manager. After searching high and low for a holiday home close to the sea and forest for a long time, we bought this wonderful North Jutland holiday home back in June 2021. A lot has happened since we bought the house. We have completely renovated it ourselves.
We bought the cottage because we wanted to have our own place far away from our everyday life in Copenhagen. We love the Jutlandic nature and especially the North Sea, and now we finally have the opportunity to be close to it. The cottage will be our sanctuary where we can relax and enjoy nature with our friends and family.
