Miss Ellen Fuglede was the last and only heir to Naturdestination Skovsgaard. As she had no heirs, it was very important to her that the site could be preserved as a whole. Therefore, she bequeathed the estate and its 389 hectares to the Danish Society for Nature Conservation, which was later taken over by the Danish Nature Foundation. The legacy to the foundation is a gift, but also a task. Was woken up one morning by a horse sticking its muzzle in the window. In addition, a herd of friendly long-horned cows often visited.
The estate is within walking distance from the house through wetlands. If you're more into hard roads, you can walk down to the beach, along the beach and then through the forest to the estate. Great to experience how large areas are not cultivated today.
The house is fine. Two double bedrooms and then four bunk beds in two rooms. The garden furniture, especially the garden table, is damaged by the curious cows.
