Through the large floor-to-ceiling windows you can enjoy the sea view and the wild nature, and the warm birch veneer on walls and ceilings creates a cozy cottage atmosphere. You can really feel the personal touches that the family has made - both in architecture and interior design.
There is underfloor heating in the lacquered concrete floor, which can be adjusted in panels on the walls of each room. The skylights can be opened by remote control and provide a really nice light throughout the house. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so family members can enjoy both privacy and plenty of space for entertaining.
We especially love the views from the living room, bedroom and kitchen, where we can look exclusively out onto nature and water. We love the way the view changes with the seasons and we never get tired of getting up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee with the amazing view.
Outside there is a nice annex of 15 m2 with a double bed, allowing a total of eight adults to stay overnight. In the garden there are activities for young and old with a fire pit, hammocks, barbecue and petanque court. The large terrace embraces the entire house, so there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the sun's rays or find shelter depending on the direction of the wind. My name is Stine and I work at Christiansborg. My husband, Patrick, and our three children, Matilda, Elin and Jens Peter, live in the heart of Copenhagen and enjoy everyday life to the full. As often as we can, we travel across Zealand to our beloved summer house, which Patrick designed himself. We bought the plot in 2019 and the cottage was completed in 2020.
Here we get everything that the big city does not offer; peace, time, wild nature, wildlife and water. We make fires, swim in the sea, go for walks, cook and enjoy the undisturbed life. We love to go down to the beach and feel the air and throw stones into the water. In summer we swim every day.
