The house was designed by Søren Sarup, and we have built large parts of it ourselves. The foundation that carries the house and the floor you walk and stand on, we have dug out by hand. We have added the insulation that keeps you warm. The 140 m2 cedar shingles that please your eye, we have had in our hands - each and every one. It has been an amazing journey that makes us papal proud every time we welcome new guests. The part we have not taken care of, the local company Tømrer Knudsen has taken care of, and he is now once again known for being a perfectionist. The house is located up and down a small lake, which was created when the Waterworks (now the Coastal Directorate) in the first half of the last century laid the dike on the opposite side of the lake. The dike was to protect Agger from flooding in the event that the sea broke through the narrow sand sea, which separates Flat Lake from the North Sea. The recurring theme of working with the house has been an attempt to bring the surrounding nature as close to the indoor experience as possible. This is done through floor-to-ceiling windows and the orientation of the house towards the lake and the green bank. The window sections face north, providing a pleasant light and unobstructed view of the changeable sky over Thy. The house is sheltered behind vegetation to the west and south. It provides a pleasant climate on the plot and a screen for viewing from the outside. There are several terraces and thus a nook almost does not matter where the light and wind come from. The entire building consists of a main house and an annex. The main house consists of a spacious kitchen-living room, living room, bedroom and bathroom. In addition, the house's sauna and outdoor shower. In the annex there are two more bedrooms and a bathroom. The furniture is simple and stylish. As something special, the dining table is made according to circular production methods. The same applies to the dining table chairs, where the seats e.g. is made from recycled sea plastic. We have made extra out of the sleeping comfort. We thus have elevation beds with mattresses and top mattresses of certified organic materials, which are manufactured according to 100% CO2 neutral production methods. The same applies to pillows, duvets and bedding. Trust us: You and the person or people you bring with you will love that house.

Meet your host
Anders & Rasmus
Our names are Anders and Rasmus. We both live with our families in Klitmøller, approx. 12 miles north of Agger. The house expresses our desire to give you and the person or people you have with you the best possible framework for a wonderful experience close to some of Denmark's most unique nature. We both surf, and therefore have a penchant for the many surf spots that make the West Coast of Thy Europe's Cold Hawaii. In that connection, Agger is something very special. But it certainly is not the only thing worth a visit. In Agger, it is nature that sets the stage and gives you an experience that is honest, simple, magnificent and cozy at the same time. The house is located in the southern part of National Park Thy, a few hundred meters from one of the most desolate beaches on Jutland's West Coast. Immediately north of the house is Flade Sø, further north you have to go all the way to Stenbjerg, which is in a straight line ten kilometers north of the house, before you meet significant buildings. South of the city is Agger Tange and thus a large hunting and disturbance-free bird sanctuary. The very large expanses without buildings make i.a. the starry sky seen from the terraces of the house to something very special. Furthermore, it is very easy to find large stretches on foot or by bike, where you really do not meet an eye. Just outside the door you can get on the hiking route around Flat Lake (12 km). By this route you can get to Lodbjerg Lighthouse, which is the southern visitor center in National Park Thy. From here there is access to a number of walking routes. There are also good opportunities for touring cycling. Among other things. passes the cycle route "Forces of Nature" through Agger. We are there when you arrive and give you the tips and tricks that suit you and the person or people you have with you.
