Frequently asked questions
For our hosts
With holiday homes in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Holiday homes in Germany, France and Italy are not covered by Gjensidige.
If a guest causes damage during a stay in your Landfolk holiday home, our insurance will cover damage on your property. This includes a broken dining table, damaged TV, stained mattresses, visible and extensive scratch marks on doors from pets and broken valuables with an estimated value above DKK 1,000/NOK 1,000/SEK 1,000/€ 100.
Our supplementary insurance does not cover damage caused by fire, theft or damage caused by storm or water as well as fungal damage and missing objects. In these cases, please contact your own insurance.
You report the damage by contacting Landfolk at support@landfolk.com, and we will send you a damage report. Once you have completed and submitted the report together with images of the damage (and preferably original purchase receipts), Gjensidige will process it. If Gjensidige accepts your claim, Landfolk will help you collect the deductible of the guests.
Even if the damage does not exceed DKK 1,000/NOK 1,000/SEK 1,000/€ 100, you should still report the damage by reaching out to us at support@landfolk.com. Then the extent of the damage will be assessed. We will help you by contacting and charging the guest for compensation if you wish.
If you as a host are prevented from welcoming guests with already planned bookings due to an unforeseen damage caused by previous guests, your loss of rental income will be covered by the insurance.
Our supplementary insurance covers the buildings and objects that are covered by your own holiday home insurance in regard to the insurance policy. Your associated property like your boat, cano, ATV or similar vehicles are not covered by the insurance. You can read more in the terms below.
