Welcome to our holiday home, which in our opinion has the best location in Skagen, overlooking the sea on one side and the old houses in Østerby on the other. We think Skagen is one of the most beautiful places in the world, so even though we live in England, we travel here many times a year to enjoy the town, the nature and our beloved cottage. The old neighborhood where the cottage is located has a unique atmosphere and we spend a lot of time just wandering around the old streets and looking at houses and gardens.
We love the beach (Sønderstrand) and go there often. The town has a lot of lovely cafés, restaurants and shops that have a personal touch that is increasingly rare these days. We also like to visit the dunes south of Skagen, Gammel Skagen and the Grey Lighthouse, as well as cycling around the many cycle paths in the area, such as Hulsigstien and the paths just south of Grenen. Brøndums Hotel, Ruths Hotel and the harbor are great places for life, atmosphere and gastronomy. And of course, we love the special light conditions in Skagen, which give nature a special atmosphere.
