Baby moon in a holiday home
Holiday homes perfect for your baby moon
69 m²
In Kulhuse at the top of Hornsherred, this unique holiday home is located on a hilly plot surrounded by tall, old trees. The house invites you to relax and enjoy the large, open-plan living area. There is room for the extended family to feel at home and enjoy the outdoors in the flourishing garden.
Throughout the day, the living room is flooded with light through the 12-meter-long glass sections. One room is nicely furnished as a children's room with a cozy home-made bunk bed, an atmospheric Swedish wooden table and a closet with lots of toys. The other bedroom is an extension of the living room. Use the bed during the day as a floater and enjoy the view of the garden. In the original kitchen, the beautiful marble table adds a unique touch to the room.
From April, the beautiful garden is already in full bloom with roses, rhododendrons, perennials, anemones and fruit trees. The large terrace to the south overlooks the garden, while to the east you'll find a lovely paved terrace. Enjoy the outdoors on rainy days under the roof that extends four meters over the terrace, or find some cool shade on the terrace to the north on the hottest summer days. Hidden inside the large, beautiful rhododendron you'll find the lovely little annex.
From the living room you walk directly onto the terrace facing the garden. Here you can drink your morning coffee, but also enjoy good dinners with food from the barbecue. There is also a canopy to keep you dry in case of rain. In the garden there is a playground for the little ones to play on.

We are Christine and Thomas. Christine works as a midwife and designer, while Thomas makes documentary films. This is our beautiful summer house, which we bought more than 20 years ago from a couple who originally built it themselves. We love the fact that the plot is hilly and private and completely shielded from the neighbors in the summer. When the house was a bit too small and unusable in the winter, Christine, who also studied at the School of Architecture, designed a new house on top of the old one, so today we have two extra rooms and a large covered terrace.
In the summer, we live on the south-facing terrace and open the glass doors so that inside and outside merge. We can also sit here in the winter, as this terrace is warm and windless. On the north terrace, we enjoy evening meals while admiring the most beautiful sunsets. On the coldest days, we cozy up inside in the warmth of the wood-burning stove. If we want to explore the area, Kulhuse Harbor is a lovely place with a great atmosphere in the summer. We also like to go hiking or cycling in the Nordskoven forest, while Kræmmer Erik's wonderful second-hand antique shop is always worth a visit.
