We are Christine and Thomas. Christine works as a midwife and designer, while Thomas makes documentary films. This is our lovely cottage, which we bought more than 20 years ago from a couple who originally built it themselves. We love the fact that the plot is hilly and private and completely shielded from the neighbors in the summer. When the house was too small and unusable in winter, Christine, who also studied at the School of Architecture, designed a new house on top of the old one, so today we have two extra rooms and a large covered terrace.
In summer we live on the south-facing terrace and open the glass doors so that inside and outside merge. We can also sit here in winter, as this terrace is warm and windless. On the north terrace we enjoy evening meals while admiring the most beautiful sunsets. On the coldest days, we cozy up inside in the warmth of the wood-burning stove. If we feel like exploring the area, Kulhuse Harbor is a lovely place with a fantastic atmosphere in the summer. We also enjoy walking or cycling in Nordskoven, while Kræmmer Erik's lovely second-hand antique shop is always worth a visit.
