Lakes, forests, endless fields and eternal greenery - Mecklenburg is famous for its lake district and proximity to the Baltic Sea and is ideal for nature-loving sports enthusiasts and quiet countryside lovers. In Ulla and Daniel's house in a secluded location, you can relax, take a walk in the nearby forest or go swimming in the lake around the corner.
The wild garden with its old fruit trees has its very own charm and the terrace with dining table and barbecue invites you to spend cozy hours outdoors.
The house is bright and friendly, the couple have decorated it with a lot of love and selected colors, built much of the furniture themselves from light pine wood and put it through its paces with their children for a family vacation. Of course, the dog comes on vacation with them. You will have lots of fun exploring the beautiful surroundings of the house - either on foot or by bike.
The house can accommodate up to four people if you use the sofa bed in the living room, and the two wood-burning stoves provide an extra Scandinavian hygge feeling.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

Highlights from Ulla & Daniel
Host since February 2023
- The Swedish wood-burning stove in front of the free-standing bathtub
- The tasteful, Scandinavian-style interior design is wonderfully cozy and friendly bright
- The wild garden around the house
We are Ulla and Daniel. We both work and live in the city. At the weekends, we are drawn to the countryside, where Daniel is a hobby carpenter and Ulla can indulge herself in the garden (she has the green fingers of both of us).
We sometimes joke and say that the house is "almost by the lake" because it's only a 15-minute walk to Plather See. We love walking the circular path to the lake with our dog and jumping straight into the water from the jetty. Daniel built a lot of the furniture himself and we spend a lot of time cooking together in the garden apartment and in front of the fireplace in the living room. But our relaxation highlight is the bathtub in front of the Swedish wood-burning stove - this is where we really get that Scandinavian vacation feeling.
