The house is separate from the home of your hosts, Sofia and Erik, and features a beautiful garden where you can fully enjoy the stunning scenery and surroundings. In the immediate vicinity, you can take long walks down to the sea, and at the same time, the house is very close to the center of Borrby. The atmosphere around the house is simply beautiful. The garden, with its magnificent birch trees and many flowering plants, is a very special place. You can watch the birds that are frequently seen flitting among the trees; just sitting there alone and watching the goings-on is incredibly relaxing. The location is very quiet—practically no cars drive by—and the nights are wonderfully quiet and restful. Inside the house, too, every little detail has been thought of, both in terms of the furnishings and the comfort. Everything is designed with great taste and care, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We especially loved the color scheme, in which green plays a central role. After a day at the beach or an outing in the surrounding area, it was simply wonderful to come home and relax there.

A lovely hideaway spot for your whole family with the beach close by and a small city 20 minutes away with the bike. The house is in great shape and you can tell it's used by the owner family as well, so it's maintained and decorated with love. The owners made us super welcome from the start with recommendations and easy communication. We would love to stay again!

It’s a beautifully built house in a lovely setting, but in the summer, the area around the house—and all the other similar houses, insofar as their patios and views don’t border the forest—is a bit barren. It was really lovely to see the reindeer passing by every day or lying there chewing their cud right outside the door. The beds were very comfortable. As for the amenities, we did find that a few cups and mugs were missing. Even with just the three of us, we didn’t have enough to last the day. There were also very few dessert bowls—only three. A teapot would also be handy. The surroundings, with the mountains and rivers, are stunning, but then again, we’ve known them for decades. Compared to 15 years ago, tourism has increased significantly.

The house is truly in a prime location, and the surroundings and the view of the lake are gorgeous. If you’re lucky and the sun sets over the lake under a cloudless sky, it’s simply magical. There’s also a very nice outdoor area with a hammock, a dock, and lots of beautiful plants (the entrance area was especially lovely, with lots of lavender on both sides—we saw such beautiful butterflies and bumblebees there). The house itself was neat and very cozy; it could have been a bit cleaner here and there (the mattress protectors, in particular, were quite worn, and the kitchen drawers were very messy), but otherwise everything was great, and we felt very comfortable. It was a shame that, contrary to our hopes, we couldn’t swim in the lake from the dock… due to the poor water quality, etc. But there’s a great rowboat available, which you can use to go on lovely trips and swim somewhere else. Overall, it was a wonderful time, and we would have loved to stay longer.

Staying at the Mission House was a truly unique experience. The interior design was tasteful, showing respect for the house’s history while still creating a warm and homey atmosphere. We also enjoyed spending time on the large terrace with its beautiful view of the lake.
