Just a short stroll from beautiful Gudmindrup Strand is this exuberant pearl of joy, decorated with attention to detail and a kick in the color palette. A perfect sanctuary for the family or friends who want to surround themselves with forest, beach and beautiful surroundings.
Your host has lovingly restored the house with carefully selected colors, quirky elements and antics you can get lost in - like the striped entrance hall and the two bedrooms, each with their own distinctive character: the salmon-colored room gives a cozy cave feel, while the green room is romantically decorated with patterned wallpaper and a skylight with a view of the starry sky and the morning sun.
The heart of the cottage is its living space, which unites the living room, dining area and kitchen and invites nature inside with its large windows. Here there is room to curl up on the floating sofa or settle down in the cozy zone with a good book, while the fire crackles in the wood-burning stove and the evening's chefs work their magic in the kitchen. If you need a moment alone, you can snuggle up behind the curtain in the alcove, which serves as both a cozy den and extra sleeping space.
From the living room, the doors lead out to the large wooden terrace that surrounds the cottage. Here you can settle down in the unusual bamboo furniture or eat fresh fish from Odden Harbor for lunch. On the 2800 square meter plot there is plenty of room to challenge each other in football and croquet, when you are not roasting marshmallows in the glow of the flames by the fireplace.

We are a family of five. Mom is a Jutlander, but Norwegian at heart, while Dad is Norwegian and a globetrotter at heart. Our three children are Jutlanders, Copenhageners, Norwegians and globetrotters. We bought the cottage in 2013 at a time when the area was a bit undiscovered. We fell for the unpolished, the tall pine trees, the proximity to the forest, the dunes and the absolutely fantastic sandy beach down to the clearest water. Maybe we got the feeling that Jutland meets Zealand meets Norway meets the world?
The cottage is our refuge from the city and the hustle and bustle. Here we lie on the couch and huddle together over a movie, a football match, a glass of red wine or a book. We cook delicious food and eat together, either outside or inside. We go for aimless walks, get warmed up and blown away. Here, indoors and outdoors flow together, and there is room for both fierce football matches and a nap on the terrace. Summer and winter, we swim in the sea - because it looks so inviting that we can't resist.
We love to go for walks across the gravel roads in the large cottage area, and we always end up by the sea. The cottage is close to one of Denmark's best sandy beaches, where the walk can continue north towards Odden or south towards Ordrup Næs. By the beach is also the locally famous burger and ice cream parlor Haveje. Sometimes we choose to walk into the forest instead, where we encounter a very special fairytale atmosphere and lots of deer.

Get a full refund if you cancel up until 60 days before check-in.
Your are free to cancel bookings within 48 hours after receiving a booking confirmation or until 60 days before the agreed time of arrival for a full refund. Until 30 days before the agreed time of arrival, you can cancel for a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 30 days before the agreed time of arrival you will not be refunded.
