Modern meets traditional in this cosy cabin at Krokskogen in Oslomarka

Surrounded by forest, you will find this cozy cabin in the heart of Krokskogen in Oslomarka. The cabin is located approx. 1 km from the Ski Association's cabin at Løvlia, which serves cinnamon buns in summer and winter. Here, traditional elements meet modern design choices, which together create a cozy atmosphere at the cabin. Bring the whole family on a cabin trip near the city, enjoy each other's company and let the peace and quiet sink in. You can get here by ski or bike, otherwise the journey time is about 60 minutes from the center of Oslo by car.

Inside the cabin, you will be greeted by the beautiful light from the large windows, which really highlights the fine wooden materials in the cabin and gives a light and airy atmosphere. There is no water or electricity, but solar panels provide light, a well-functioning fridge, a gas stove and a generator that runs a separate water point in the area. The host is also happy to provide either heating and a fire in the fireplace, or guidance over the phone.

Enjoy a hot bath under the starry sky in the wood-fired hot tub outside the cabin. In summer, there are nearby idyllic ponds that are perfect for cooling off.

The area around the cabin offers many activities all year round, and is a snowy and safe cross-country skiing paradise in winter and a place for great bike rides in summer. In summer, you can also swim and sunbathe at Stubdalstjern or Damtjern close to the cabin. Head to one of the highest peaks in Krokskogen, Gyrihaugen, or visit the Instagram-friendly and spectacular Mørkgonga and be captivated by the stunning views. The feeling at the cabin is of being completely alone far out in the forest with no distractions other than the chirping of birds, but Hønefoss city center or Oslo are only a short distance away.
