We are a family of five who are lucky enough to have found this gem of a holiday home back in April 2022. Since then, we have renovated the house from top to bottom. Here we find coziness and peace and always get the feeling of jumping out of the so-called hamster wheel as soon as we enter the house. We love the fact that the grounds are large and wild with plenty of space for the kids to play on the grass and explore the many nooks and crannies. The location is the main reason we bought the house. It's only 250 meters to the water with a jetty and boat dock, so we can easily walk barefoot to the beach with the paddleboard under our arm.
When we're not by the water, we like to visit the bird sanctuary just east of the cottage, where there are many good hiking routes in flat terrain. If we feel like enjoying a more hilly landscape, we head to the beautiful Røsnæs. Here we also swim and enjoy the sauna in Røsnæs Harbor. Kalundborg also has a lovely harbor bath with the opportunity to play kayak polo, jump off the seesaw and eat something delicious at one of the three cafés. If the weather is not so good, we also like to go to the cinema in Kalundborg.
