Welcome to a unique experience in the mountains - 900 meters above sea level! Designed by Snøhetta architects, this modern cabin stands out, yet fits perfectly into the beautiful Norwegian landscape. Two hours from Oslo, this gem is a place where you can relax in nature, far away from shops and party places. Here you can enjoy views of untouched nature, hear the wind and experience real mountain weather.
The chalet has a footprint of 175m2, including an integrated garage for wood and ski preparation. The living room is extraordinary with 4.5 meters to the ceiling and panoramic windows, as well as a unique fireplace that can be rotated to give a real campfire feeling. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, perfect for gathering everyone around an enjoyable meal.
Outside, a large terrace awaits on the south and west sides of the cabin, perfect for enjoying good sunny conditions. But remember, there are no trees to protect against the wind, which can be quite strong at times. In the area around the cabin, there are countless mountain hikes to explore, hiking & biking routes and several lakes for fishing - depending on the season. After a long day out, just relax with a good movie on the hidden TV which is lowered by an electric motor.
NOTES: Please note that the cabin is really located in the mountains in a very special place where you can feel real weather. You book this place to experience nature and feel the weather. You're far away from shops, restaurants and party places, but with 270° views of untouched nature and maybe no other people. You probably won't hear any sounds other than your own and the wind. The cabin is located 900 meters above sea level, just above the tree line. This gives you an open landscape with great views, but there are also no trees to protect you from the wind. The wind can be strong at times. You can experience snow from October to May, but with large variations. Typically, snow conditions are good for cross-country skiing from late December to April.

NOTES: The snowplowing team works hard to make the road drivable as much as possible all year round, but the last 1.5 kilometers of the road is only "guaranteed" to be drivable at certain times: Monday 4pm, Thursday 7pm, Friday 7pm, Saturday 4pm & Sunday 4pm
During heavy snowfalls and when the wind is strong, the road may be impossible to drive shortly after the snow. You may have to wait until the next snow plowing to be able to drive. The snow plowing team usually has more trips than the times above, but you are not guaranteed to be able to drive outside these times. During the winter season, you can bring food and everything you need upon arrival at the cabin in case you can't drive out before checking out.
It may be possible to book an extra snow plowing trip if the snow plowing team has capacity. The fee varies depending on how many working hours they need to use.
During the winter season, make sure your car is equipped with good winter tires. A 4x4 car or chains are usually not required, but can be convenient. You may have to wait for the snow to plow if there is too much snow on the road. We have many guests from all over the world visiting our cabin. Some are not used to driving in winter time. Please drive carefully and very slowly, especially when the road is slippery and you are going downhill. If you get off the road and need a tow truck, you may have to wait for several hours. Tow trucks are often very busy when the weather conditions are bad and they may have to drive a long way to get to you. If your insurance doesn't cover such help, it can also be expensive. Make sure you always have warm clothes and food in your car in case you get stuck. Often, other cars on the road can help you get back on track too.

Get a full refund if you cancel up until 60 days before check-in.
You may cancel your booking within 48 hours after receiving a booking confirmation or until 60 days before the arrival day for a full refund. Until 30 days before the arrival day, you may cancel for a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 30 days before the arrival day or book 72 hours before the arrival day, you will not be refunded.
