If you're looking for a cabin with stunning views in the middle of nature, this cabin is a good choice. The cabin is located by the sea in the Mjosundet, Smalsundet and Aursundet fjord systems in Aure municipality. If you drive out of the fjord to the west, you will reach the Atlantic Ocean.
The cabin has a rich history with logs in the walls from the 1850s, hidden behind paneling. Here you'll find peace and quiet while enjoying a meal in front of the fireplace. The interior is both cozy and practical. In the living room, you can relax in the rocking chair by the warm fireplace. The kitchen is large and equipped with a 2.7 meter long table, made from one piece of wood from an old pine tree. The combined bedroom/library downstairs makes for a good night's sleep, while the second floor offers two small bedrooms and a dormitory overlooking the fjord.
The cabin is set in beautiful natural surroundings, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy life during the summer months. There are also opportunities for fishing and boat trips in the archipelago when the weather permits.
This cabin is a summer cabin that can only be rented out during the summer months.
From the parking lot you walk on a path that winds down through the forest and after about 5 minutes you arrive at the red-painted living room. The road and path are therefore inaccessible in winter when the snow has not been cleared.

I've spent 'all' my summer vacations at the cabin called 'Trollhaugen' since my first summer in 1959. Boating, fishing, swimming, cabin building and playing with neighbors or visiting relatives have characterized my summers. In 2004, my wife Anita and I inherited the cabin from my mother and father, while my sister took over the boathouse and the plot where they built a new neighboring cabin in 2003. Here we have many good family memories! We look forward to welcoming you.

The Trollhaugen house is idyllically located directly on the fjord and allows for an undisturbed stay. The house is very comfortably furnished and has a lot of historical charm and authenticity. It is equipped with everything you need and met all our expectations. Access to the house from the parking lot via the "nature trail" is somewhat difficult and not suitable for people with limited mobility.
The surrounding area with fjords, sea, and mountains is very diverse and offers many opportunities for excursions.
All in all, the perfect base for a real Norwegian vacation.
