Surrounded by beautiful, untouched nature, this cozy cabin is waiting for you. Although the cabin is state-of-the-art in many ways, it is still the traditional cabin feeling that greets you when you enter. It's furnished with old Norwegian traditional furniture made in furniture factories in Norway, antiques and old furniture made by local carpenters in Numedal, local handicrafts and the crockery in the cabin is the gift the hosts' grandparents received when they got married around 1920 in Veggli.
When you enter the cabin, you'll be greeted by the bright, airy atmosphere and the beautiful, traditional elements. Here you'll find large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light, lots of cozy corners to sit down in and all the modern elements you need for a great cabin trip. Fire up the fireplace and enjoy the view of the beautiful mountain landscape, gather on the terrace for the day's meals or soak up the sun in the cabin wall.
The cabin is located in an area of untouched nature, where small lakes, marshes and centuries-old pine trees frame your days. The cabin offers great views of Blefjell and Senhovd, and you'll be close to birdlife and wildlife. The area also offers many great hiking opportunities. Visit Sundtjønn bathing area with a gapahuk fire pit and sandy beach, go out on Kjølevann in a rowing boat, where you can also swim and fish. Dagrønuten and Dadrøhytta are also a great day trip and Svartløkfjellet, right by the cabin, offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountain areas throughout Eastern Norway.
After a long day of adventures in the mountains, the cabin offers plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy time together both inside and out. Whether you gather around the fireplace as the autumn storms rage, soak up the evening sun on the terrace or let the warmth of the hot tub embrace you, there are plenty of great opportunities to spend time together. The many cozy corners in the cabin also make it possible to retreat a little with a good book or something good in the glass while the others are out or someone is cooking dinner.
Ski in / ski out: Cross-country ski trails in close proximity to the cabin.

We are a couple with grown-up children and two grandchildren. Our cabin is located on the grounds of an old smallholding in Veggli, where my father lives, and my family has roots going back hundreds of years in this village. We have tried to create a sustainable cabin built on Norwegian traditions, where the combination of used and new, and traditional and modern meet.
We love nature and outdoor life, and use the cabin and nature in the mountains all year round. In the summer we go swimming, hiking, cycling and fishing. We also have a rowing boat at the fishing lake that we share with some friends. The cabin also has a small lawn where we can play kubb and croquet. In winter, there are miles of great ski trails. We also have a lot of fun outside the cabin with barbecues, bonfires and hot tubs.
Moose, foxes and hares can be observed from the cabin, and we have large binoculars that guests can use to study nature more closely. You'll also find plenty of nature books on our bookshelf. In the area, you'll find several old farmsteads and in the summer, sheep graze in the area, adding to the traditional Norwegian feeling of summer in the mountains.
