Timber-framed with bright and idyllic garden

Near Juelsminde is an old half-timbered house from 1780. Nestled between the trees and the surrounding cornfields, it looks inviting. It exudes romance and rural idyll as soon as you drive into the courtyard in front of the front door and see the house with its mullioned windows. Here you can spend a few days in peace in the charming and stylish interior surrounded by a lush garden.

As you enter, you can enjoy the bright kitchen-dining room. From here you can also look out and see the beautiful garden. You can enjoy dinner on the nice corner bench at the dining table and light the wood-burning stove in the small cozy nook when evening falls. Here you can sit and feel the warmth in the rocking chair and just relax. You can also climb the stairs and look up to the large room on the first floor. Bring your coffee and sit in the armchairs by the panoramic window and look out over the garden. You can also sit at the desk with your laptop and check emails before you go to bed.

Outside, you'll also find several cozy nooks among the flowering shrubs where you can sit in the sun or in the hanging chair under the trees. You can wander around the garden and maybe pick some berries or find some fresh herbs in the vegetable garden to add to your salad. You can also sit in the orangery and enjoy dinner while you light a fire in the fire pit later in the evening. On a gray and rainy day, head into the conservatory or take a nap on the daybed.

Not far from the house you'll find Juelsminde Marina, where you can feel the peace and enjoy an ice cream at Havnens Café og Isbar. You can also head to Snaptun Harbor, from where you can sail to Hjarnø or Endelave. In Horsens, you can visit the Prison, which is now an exciting prison museum, or you can take a trip to the theater. If you're into mountain biking, you can find Denmark's three best mountain bike trails in Bjerre Forest. If you'd rather go for a walk, head to Borre Knob for a three-kilometer hike. You can eat your packed lunch in the picnic house while looking out at the Hjarnø ferry sailing past. Juelsminde Naturlegepladsen is also a great place for children of all ages to let loose on the large playground while the adults have a barbecue. If the weather is nice, Kirkholm beach is just a 6-minute drive from the cottage, where you can enjoy the sun and take a dip.
