Feel the buzz of history in a modern house in original settings

In a small village in southern Zealand lies a half-timbered house with lots of soul. The house, which is an old farmhouse, is more than 200 years old. When you arrive at the house, it is like stepping into a time warp, but as soon as you step inside, you will see that the house has been modernised inside. However, the original atmosphere has been beautifully preserved. So even though the house is wrapped in history, there is hot water, a bath and good insulation.

The house is wonderfully easy to use and invites you to play, as tiles with underfloor heating have been laid in the entrance hall, kitchen and living room. This way, in summer, the children can run in and out of the house without having to worry about looking after the floor. You can also bring the little ones along without having to worry, as there are safety gates both below and above the stairs. The square footage is well used, so the house feels bigger than it is. The first floor is a good example here, with its two cosy bedrooms and a small desk with space to draw or jot down holiday memories. The kitchen in the house is well equipped, so if you like to cook, there is plenty of opportunity for this. The idyll can easily settle in while you stand stirring a pot on the stove and the light falls in through the slatted windows. You'll also find a nice outdoor kitchen and barbecue, where you can cook while the kids play in the garden.

The house is in a quiet and natural setting. The garden is a cosy retreat overlooking open fields. In the area there are good opportunities for walking and cycling. On a hot summer day, you can take a cool walk of about 5 km through the woods to St Peter's Shipyard. You can also take a short trip to Møn, where Stege is a recommended town in summer with its rich commercial life, restaurants and market on Tuesdays. If you want to go to the beach, Ore Strand is an obvious choice, but there are also many good beaches on Møn or Kalvehave.
