We are Judith and Stephan, a Danish-German couple living here in Denmark. We love our peaceful life on the island of Als, a wonderful part of Denmark surrounded by water and nature. In 2021, we bought an entire street on the island with three dilapidated houses, of which this house from 1962 is one. Many people expected us to demolish the houses, but instead we restored them with respect for the original soul and history. Sustainable materials have been used and the houses have new plank floors.
When we're here, we love to go for walks by the water and in the nature area Hummelvig. The houses are located right between Mommark and Kærneland, both of which are beautiful beaches. We often go cycling on the Kegnæs peninsula or take our bikes on the ferry for a day trip to beautiful Ærø.
