We are a family of five. Ingrid, Anders and three boys aged 10-14. We bought the cabin in 2018, and fell head over heels for the fantastic view over the Saudafjord. Check in, breathe out - that's our mantra when we walk in the door. Here we can really relax and unwind. It's a quiet and calm place, where the hustle and bustle of everyday life is replaced by the chirping of birds and the roar of the majestic Honganvik waterfall. Now we're looking forward to our guests finding the same peace at our cabin.
From the cabin you can reach many beautiful hiking areas on foot, such as Mollastølen, Vetrhusstølen, Maldalsstølen, Norddalen, Reinsnuten and Skorvenuten. In summer, we recommend you take a dip in Vetrhusvannet or a fishing trip in Hylsfjorden. In winter, you can head to Svandalen's alpine slopes and cross-country ski trails at Breiborg, Slettedalen and Nordstøldalen. There are many incredible nature experiences nearby, from demanding summit hikes in both summer and winter, to quiet strolls in the surrounding area. Whatever the weather and season, this is a gem for young and old alike. Fjords and mountains, waterfalls and lakes, swimming and fishing, skiing and hiking - the list goes on.
What we like best of all is enjoying the beautiful nature Sauda has to offer, and being able to end the day in front of the Sauda fjord with a campfire and something good in a glass.
