My name is Olav, and together we're a family of five who enjoy our cabin together whenever we can. When we're at the cabin, both young and old get to enjoy the ski slopes and bathing water right outside the cabin, and one of the things we like best about being here is being exposed to untouched high mountain nature in all seasons. It's easy to lower your shoulders and easy to tear yourself away from your everyday routine.
The cross-country ski trail begins just 15 m from the cabin wall, so in winter there are plenty of ski trips. It's about 1 km to Veggli Fjellstue, which offers food and drink and is a perfect destination for the family's youngest skiers. It's also just 4 minutes by car to Vegglifjell Ski Center, where there's a ski lift for alpine skiing. When the snow disappears, it's just a short walk to the tree line and up on the high mountain plateau where there are great trails connected to Hardangervidda. There's also a great swimming area in the lake just outside the cabin.
