At the end of Saksild's oldest village street is an aesthetic guesthouse with views of the surrounding fields. Here you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and if you're lucky you might spot a deer or hare in the distance where sky and ground seem to meet.
The guest house is an old barn that has been converted. The living room contains the old bricks and stalls from the animals, which creates a very special and authentic atmosphere. The house is decorated with flea market finds and fine colors to complete the atmospheric feel of the house, and the large windows bring nature and light completely inside. The rooms are on their own on the first floor, one of which is located cave-like under the ceiling, while another has a lovely balcony attached. Outside there is of course a lovely garden with comfortable garden furniture, a parasol for those hot summer days, a barbecue and lots of outdoor games for the whole family.
The nature in Saksild and the surrounding area certainly doesn't disappoint with the green and mustard-yellow fields and streams that meander through the landscape and eventually flow into Norsminde fjord. There's an old inn, a cozy harbor environment and miles of white sandy beaches with clear sea water, where the beach in Saksild is some of the best you'll find. Saksild is also home to many good places to eat, and not far away are lively Aarhus and Hou from where you can sail to atmospheric Samsø.

Saksild and surroundings abound with small gems in the form of beautiful nature, delicious eateries and fantastic sandy beaches
Idyllic views over fields with beautiful sunsets and passing animals on the horizon
The old, preserved elements of the guesthouse and the decor of flea market finds and personal details
My name is Søren and together with my wife, Jeanette, we have two beautiful children, Vigga, 6, and Gro, 3. We live in the farmhouse next to the guesthouse, and in the apartment next to the guesthouse lives our friend Line. We have recently moved to Saksild and love to share the hustle and bustle of everyday life with each other.
You can see more pictures and videos on our Instagram Saksild Guesthouse.
We look forward to seeing you.
Saksild and the surrounding area is absolutely fantastic, so it's hard to choose what is our favorite thing to do here, but we love going to Minigolfbanen Saxild, Norsminde fiskehus og kro, Mikribageriet GROFT, Økologiens Have, Fru Møllers Mølleri and not least Saksild beach. Aarhus is just a stone's throw away, and from Hou you can sail to fantastic Samsø.

We have had some very nice days in Saksild. It was a very good place to bring children, they have entertained themselves both inside and outside.
