We are Lill and Steinar. An adult couple with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. The beach house in Storvika is a gathering place for families who would rather meet here than at home in the city.
The location right by the beautiful sandy beach and the view of the sea and mountains is hard to describe - it has to be experienced. We love our morning walks on the beach. The bathing temperature is not for everyone, but Lill is happy to take a refreshing dip when the opportunity arises.
We like to be active, and we often use the great hiking trails in the local area. Cycling, swimming, canoeing and kayaking are also activities we enjoy. The large terrace invites you to relax and socialize, and if the weather is bad, we have a panoramic view of the forces of nature from inside. The place is also ideal for a home office.
We love nature in Nordland and it's easy to get around by both car and boat. There are many great places to experience, and we recommend that our guests take the local boat to the island of Støtt, which is an old fishing village with a lot of history. Here there is a great restaurant with lots of good local food. The island of Myken far out in the sea is exciting with its distillery and production of whisky and gin is also worth a visit. Svartisen is a short drive away and if you want to take a spectacular mountain hike, we recommend a trip to Rødøy, where you can hike up Rødøyløva.
