We built our big dream summer house on a plot we had for many, many years with a small summer house on it. So we know the area and the plot inside out. We wanted to build a full blown luxury cottage with every imaginable amenity and room for a host of all those we love - but still retain the quiet and very special Hornbæk atmosphere at the end of the small gravel road with old pine trees. A short walk or bike ride from the world's best sandy beach - we think - and the town itself with its eternal life and lovely harbour, where we are regular customers for fish n' chips, the bakery and of course the greasy corner.
