We are a family of 5 with a son living at home and two adult daughters in Copenhagen. Our holiday home in Blokhus is used on weekends and holidays for relaxation and fun with family and friends. We believe that cottage life is a balm for body and soul, and after a weekend in beautiful surroundings and walks in the raw nature, we are recharged for everyday life. A morning coffee on the east-facing terrace, a soak in the hot tub or watching the sunset from the covered terrace can really give you a sense of zen. That's why we use the cottage to unwind, but we also love to invite friends over for a sleepover.
The area around Blokhus offers wide beaches, beautiful dune landscapes and nature-rich forests that we love to walk in. When we explore Blokhus, we like to have lunch at one of the many restaurants, and we often go to Blokhus for an ice cream. When we have guests, we often rent a mobile sauna from the locals, which can be set up on the beach with a clear view of the beautiful sea. Here we alternate between going down for a swim and back in the sauna. This is definitely worth recommending!
