The Uckermark – an enchanting region full of endless forests, quiet country lanes, and secluded swimming lakes. The rolling hills are dotted with small villages, and despite being only an hour away from Berlin, the hectic city life seems infinitely far away here. On the edge of the village, a charming country house awaits you, idyllically situated on the slope of a vineyard.
The wild garden with fruit trees, a fire pit, and a large terrace invites you to enjoy extensive barbecues under the open sky. A special highlight is the private sauna with a wood-burning stove in the garden, which provides relaxation in every season. The house can accommodate up to 12 people and is ideal for family celebrations and relaxing vacations with loved ones.
Younger guests are not forgotten either: cots, high chairs, board games, and countless opportunities to explore the surrounding area are available. For those wishing to explore, the hosts offer bicycles for a fee—please specify when booking if required.
Those who don't go to the swimming lake or enjoy the garden will find the heart of the house in the living room: a restored Steinway grand piano from 1938. This gem attracts music lovers from all over Germany, and many talented musicians have written and recorded their pieces here. Guests with musical talent may use the normally locked grand piano for a fee – please also indicate this in advance when booking.
The country house is tastefully furnished in a combination of classic and modern styles. The over 100-year-old brick house combines modern technology and furniture with wood, linen, and country style. During the high-quality renovation in 2010, the historic wooden beams and the large fireplace in the living room were preserved, adding to the cozy atmosphere. The spacious kitchen offers enough space for cooking together, and the long wooden table invites you to enjoy long, convivial meals – and wonderful conversations that can last late into the night.
(For a small surcharge of €18 per person, you can optionally book a laundry package.)
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

Highlights from Urs
Host since February 2023
The house is located in breathtakingly beautiful natural surroundings—here you can enjoy complete seclusion, just an hour away from Berlin
The living room features an impressive Steinway grand piano from 1938, freshly tuned and inviting you to make music
Your own sauna with a wood-burning stove really rounds off your vacation relaxation
I am Urs, the proud owner of this enchanting country house. My home is in Berlin, where I work in the film industry. I took over this country house in 2003, and in 2009 it was carefully and environmentally friendly converted into a vacation rental for up to 12 people, while retaining its original charm. A shared passion for music connects me with some of the previous owners. I myself took piano lessons and played in my own bands. That's why I'm particularly proud that since 2010, a beautiful 1938 Steinway grand piano has been in the music room, from where you can enjoy the picturesque hilly landscape of the Uckermark while playing music.
