Cottage by Orkla salmon river near Trollheimen

The Orkla River flows just 50 meters from this cabin in Resdalen, where fishermen from all over the world have been fishing for wild salmon for 40 years. You get both the tranquility of the riverbank and the adventure of Trollheimen on your doorstep. The spacious kitchen gathers many around the table, while the fireplace provides warmth in the evenings. Feel free to bring your horse and dog, which will have their own heated building.

The cabin has a large kitchen where the whole group can gather around the table. The fireplace provides warmth throughout the cabin, and the open floor plan allows you to be together whether you are cooking, playing games, or just enjoying the fire.

The riverbank offers hammocks for reading and a small cabin by the barbecue area with its own fireplace. The property is secluded with direct access to the Orkla River, where you can fish, swim, or just listen to the sound of the water. Exercise yards for both dogs and horses are available in the neighboring building.

It is also possible to arrange dog sitting if desired, and it is possible to rent a UTV that can be used for driving in various terrains and for hunting. We have access to hunting grounds for moose, deer, roe deer, foxes, and birds.

Ten minutes away is Trollheimen, with everything from Snota, known as the queen of Trollheimen, to easier trips to Blåhøa from Gjevilvasshytta. Resvannet and Jøldalen offer swimming spots and waterfalls, while the Home of the Trolls activity park is a short drive away. The farms in the village sell their own products.
