We are a family of five: mom, dad and three boys.
The cottage has been a big part of our family ever since it was built. It's a multi-generational gathering place, and the large kitchen area has been the setting for many cozy gatherings and game nights.
We enjoy that the cottage is close to both forest and beach. The area is called Little Norway and Kettrup mountains and the houses here are hidden with their grass roofs on hills and in valleys.
It's easy to go for a swim and then slip back into the house and wash off the salt and sand in the shower on the terrace, followed by a cozy game of board games.
If you turn left at the house, you'll reach the forest, and if you turn right, the beach and the North Sea await.
The sky is high and there is plenty of space. Fårup Sommerland is only 5 km from the house and is a big hit for all ages. The seaside resorts of Blokhus, Hune and Løkken are also about 5 km away and are nice to visit for shopping, a nice lunch or live music.
