Welcome to an authentic Danish wooden house, where you can enjoy the special atmosphere created by the charmingly sloping ceilings and large windows that allow light to flood into the spacious living area.
The cozy Nordic-style house has a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with an extra sleeping space, and a completely renovated bathroom from 2024. The private sauna house and the new Danish wood-burning stove from 2025 ensure a pleasant atmosphere all year round. You are welcome to bring a dog with you, but we cannot accommodate other pets.
The large, partially covered sun terrace is perfect for enjoying the spectacular sunsets over the Schlei. The garden is spacious and features an old birch tree that provides natural shade in summer. There is also a bicycle shed and two free parking spaces.
The romantic Schlei hiking trail is just a few steps away from the house, and the area offers beautiful Baltic Sea beaches around Kappeln that are not crowded even in high season. Visit the fascinating Geltinger Birk nature reserve with its wild horses or take a bike ride through the picturesque villages on the Schlei with their impressive manor houses and blooming farm gardens. We are Torsten and Kerstin, and we immediately fell in love with this cozy, authentic Danish vacation home when we purchased it in October 2021. We enjoy traveling to Kappeln and appreciating the tranquil location on the Schlei, the large sun terrace with its beautiful sunsets, and our own sauna.
