Sustainable nature house in the forest

In the middle of a cottage area with large, old trees, you will find this unique architect-designed nature house, where sustainability and nature go hand in hand. From the built-in bench in the living room, you can watch the deer and squirrels, while the sounds of the forest create the perfect backdrop for total relaxation.

The house has been created with the environment in mind, where recycled materials meet natural elements. The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, and the old wooden floors tell their own story. Two separate bedrooms allow for both togetherness and privacy, with one room also serving as a study with a view of the forest. In the cottage, practicalities such as laundry and toilet visits are also solved in a sustainable way, as they are done with collected rainwater.

The terrace is built around the existing trees on screw foundations, creating a very special connection to nature. For the adventurous, the place offers two hammock tents with built-in mosquito nets - perfect for a night under the stars.

The area offers many nature experiences with hiking trails through the forest and along the beach meadow. Take a trip to Lille Vildmose, visit the charming Vebbestrup Ismejeri ice cream parlor, or explore Mariager Saltcenter with its warm salt baths. In the summer, the large Tuesday flea market in Øster Hurup attracts visitors with exciting finds.
