Nestled in the heart of a summer cottage area with large, old trees, you’ll find this unique, architect-designed nature house, where sustainability and nature go hand in hand. From the living room’s built-in bench, you can watch the deer and squirrels, while the sounds of the forest create the perfect backdrop for total relaxation.

The house was designed with the environment in mind, blending recycled materials with natural elements. The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, and the old wooden floors tell their own story. Two separate bedrooms allow for both togetherness and privacy, with one room also serving as a home office overlooking the forest. In this vacation home, even practical matters such as laundry and using the restroom are handled in a sustainable way, as they rely on collected rainwater.

The terrace is built around the existing trees on screw piles, creating a very special connection to nature. For the adventurous, the site offers two hammock tents with built-in mosquito nets—perfect for a night under the starry sky.

The area offers many nature experiences, with hiking trails through the forest and along the beach meadow. Take a trip to Lille Vildmose, visit the charming Vebbestrup Ice Cream Dairy, or explore the Mariager Salt Center with its warm salt bath. In the summer, the large Tuesday flea market in Øster Hurup beckons with exciting finds.
