Design cabin by the sea with Northern Lights

Welcome to Ekkerøy Lodge, a 90 square meter masterpiece of modern Nordic architecture. Built from sustainable slow-growing pine from northern Finland, the lodge offers panoramic views of the Varangerfjord in Finnmark. Here you can feel at one with nature, enjoying the warmth of the cozy fireplace while gazing out over the fjord at the beautiful Northern Lights.

The interior is elegant with unique details that are adapted to both vacation stays and creative work processes. The living room has a large dining and meeting table, a sofa lounge and an open kitchen. There are three bedrooms with beds for 6 people, and a delicate, tiled bathroom with a ceiling shower. After a long day, you can relax in the wood-fired sauna.

Outside the lodge, you have access to the Arctic Ocean just 60 meters away. The lodge is surrounded by wild and beautiful nature, perfect for trips into the Finnmark plateau. And don't forget to look up: you'll see great white-tailed eagles and the bird cliffs on Ekkerøya are home to dozens of different Arctic birds.

There is plenty to see and do in the area around Ekkerøy Lodge. Head out to sea to go fishing, or hire our own boat for a unique experience. Reindeer roam freely in the area, and you can explore the Finnmark plateau on foot. But remember, the weather can be harsh, so good clothing is essential.

Guests can be picked up by private minibus at the airport or be driven around on activities on request.
