We bought our beloved cottage because we fell in love with its charm and beautiful garden. We have been in love with the cottage life ever since and have enjoyed renovating, decorating and putting our stamp on the old house. We go to the cottage from Copenhagen almost every weekend with our children. We love to leave the busy city life behind and come here, where there is room for family togetherness and coziness.
The excursion possibilities are endless, whether you want very short or slightly longer trips. We are lucky to live only a few hundred meters from the nature area at Skibsredergrunden and the beach there, which we often visit to go for a walk, throw stones in the water or swim. Fishmonger Adamsen and the harbor in Gilleleje is a favorite destination on Saturdays, and we also love baker Galst and his sourdough bread in Vejby, where we often stop on the road at Rokkedyssebær to pick fresh berries. After a long walk in Heatherhills, we never skip pizza from Il Terrazzo, and if there is room in our stomachs, we grab a big ice cream cone in Rågeleje on the way home.
