News: Danes can now rent handpicked holiday homes in Germany

After great success in Denmark, Landfolk expanded to Norway in November 2022, and now – just two months later – the Danish startup is ready to expand to yet another market, Germany. With the expansion, Landfolk makes it easy and safe for Danes to find personal and unique holiday homes in Germany's many scenic areas.

Landfolk is not just for Scandinavian-inspired holiday homes. We aim to handpick a broad and varied selection of holiday homes on our platform with different architecture and style. No two holiday homes on Landfolk are alike. Germany is much more than Berlin and motorways

Germany is not an unknown destination for Danes. In 2019, before the corona years, 3.4 million Danish overnight stays were registered in Germany. Therefore, Landfolk sees great potential in the German market, which offers much more than Danish favorites like Berlin and Hamburg and overnight stays along the motorways.

Germany is a huge country with many undiscovered gems – especially outside the cities. There is much to see and experience due to the versatile natural landscape, and with our curated holiday homes, we want to help Danes discover this. Since Landfolk opened for bookings from Germany in September 2021, our neighbors from the south have flocked to the unique Danish holiday homes. But with Landfolk's launch in Germany, German holiday home owners can now also rent out their holiday home in a simple, safe, and flexible way, where they themselves choose when and to whom they rent out their holiday home.

Great ambitions in Northern Europe

Landfolk has been on an exciting growth journey since they launched their online platform for personal, handpicked holiday homes in February 2021. The goal from the beginning has been to create Northern Europe's largest and best community and platform for a new generation of holiday home owners and guests.

In 2022 alone, Landfolk welcomed more than 550 unique holiday homes in Denmark and Norway to their platform. The great ambitions continue in 2023, where Landfolk expects to welcome many more holiday homes in Denmark, Norway, and Germany.
