Since 2016, the restaurant has maintained its status as a Michelin-starred restaurant, which testifies to an exceptionally high level in its gastronomic creations and an ability to be both innovative in preparation and dishes while maintaining a quality of a very special class.

Here you can see and experience authentic houses, a watermill, a fortified manor with palisades and a tower, craft houses, and the changing seasons of nature as a living backdrop to history.

Sommerlunden
On the outskirts of Nexø, you will find Bornholm's new nature and art experience park.
Sommerlunden is a wild garden with perennials, grasses, and large granite stones, which create a large, diverse natural space with nooks and crannies with plenty of room for contemplation.
In the garden, a number of sand artists have created a large number of impressive sand sculptures, each with its own story, where you can delve into the thoughts behind each work.
In the garden, you will also find the “Tropical House” filled with special butterflies in addition to tropical plants, frogs, birds, and fish. In the Tropical House, it is warm and humid like in the rainforest, so that the special animal and plant life can thrive, and if you want the full story, Sommerlunden offers guided tours around the exciting house.
Outside in the park, you will also find the Mulberry House, where you can make a collage, paint, or work with natural materials, and you will also find a forest playground on site with plenty of space for free play for the children among the trees.
When hunger strikes, Sommerlunden's café provides delicious homemade food, cold drinks, and ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.
Bornholm's Centre for Arts and Crafts - Grønbechs Gård
If you are into creativity and beautiful arts and crafts of every conceivable type and design, you should definitely visit Bornholm's Centre for Arts and Crafts, also called Grønbechs Gård, right in the middle of Hasle.
The large, old house with its exposed beams and wide plank floors contains no less than nine different galleries, each with its own changing exhibition and its own focus.
Over a season, there are 10-15 different exhibitions in the 1500 square metre exhibition space.
Every year, Bornholm's Centre for Arts and Crafts hosts, among other things, a joint exhibition from the members of the Arts and Craft Association Bornholm, who, based on a multitude of different craft backgrounds, exhibit beautiful and thought-provoking craft objects from the rocky island.
The exhibitions are very varied. And Grønbechs Gård is always worth visiting again, because the thought-provoking exhibitions change from season to season.
You can also visit the café and get a good cup of coffee, cake tapas, or another refreshment, and the place also has a shop with unique works from selected of Bornholm's best artisans.
Bornholm Boat Trips
If you enjoy the lapping of waves and beautiful views both out over the water and towards Bornholm's rocky coasts and cultural heritage, then a trip with Bornholm Boat Trips is an obvious choice. They have a number of different departures from both Hammerhavnen on the north-west side of the island and Bådsted Havn on the north-east coast.
Bornholm Boat Trips takes you on boat trips in exclusively electrified boats without smoke and without noise to some of the most beautiful coastal stretches with impressive cliffs on the island.
The tours go around Hammershus, Jons Kapel, and sail into the caves, among other places. The tours range from short trips of half an hour's duration to sunset tours and “troll tours” for children, where the skipper tells cosy stories at a child's level. The children also get the opportunity to steer the boats and receive a helmsman's certificate after the trip.
The tours also go to Helligdomsklipperne (the Sanctuary Cliffs), which stretch up to 20 metres above sea level and provide an impressive sight from the boats - and these tours also come in different variants throughout the day and week.
The tours to Hammershus depart from Hammerhavnen, while the tours to Helligdomsklipperne depart from Bådsted Havn.
Pernille Bülow Glas
At Glastorvet in the middle of Svaneke, with the harbour and its many pleasure boats just around the corner, lies Pernille Bülow's atmospheric glassblowing workshop.
The glassblowing workshop is something of an institution in Svaneke. It opened its doors back in 1989, and today you will find both an open workshop and an atmospheric showroom on site with a rich selection of beautiful glass creations. In the workshop, you can drop by daily and watch the glassblowers perform the fine glasswork.
Pernille Bülow's designs have an organic and living expression, and although the glass is, by its nature, in a solid form, many of the glass objects almost give the impression of still being in motion. The fluid expression in the glass gives each object its own very fine, distinctive character.
So if you are into beautiful glass art in incredibly atmospheric surroundings, we can unreservedly recommend Pernille Bülow's glassblowing workshop in lovely Svaneke.
Musikhuzet Bornholm
If your trip to Bornholm needs an extra festive touch, Musikhuzet Bornholm in the middle of Rønne is the place to visit!
The venue has a packed event calendar filled to the brim with events and concerts of every imaginable kind. It is largely well-known names that stop by, and you can also discover smaller names from the emerging music scene at the concerts here.
The music genres are broadly represented, and Musikhuzet is generally very good at creating a concert and event offering that appeals well and broadly. From the newest shooting stars on the music scene from the top of the charts to calm and beautiful piano concerts, lectures, stand-up, and everything in between.
Christiansø
Out in the middle of the Baltic Sea, about 20 kilometres northeast of Bornholm, you will find Denmark's easternmost point and one of the smallest local communities in Denmark.
Fewer than 100 people live on Christiansø, all of whom are part of the living community on the island. On the islands, there is a school, library, doctor, grocer, kiosk, hotel, and much more, but there are no cars, as the island is completely car-free. It's not particularly necessary given the island's size, but Christiansø is in every way a very special place to visit, and the tiny rocky island offers a quiet respite for all who appreciate the sea and nature in general.
The island, along with the neighbouring island of Frederiksø and Græsholm, is an important bird sanctuary. And birdwatchers and nature lovers come from far and wide to experience the bird and animal life on the island. Christiansø was originally built as a sea fortress during the wars with Sweden, with fortress walls and cannon positions that go around the entire island. In addition, there are two cannon towers, which are now set up as museums that can be visited during the season from April to October.
If you get hungry during your visit, it is possible during the season to settle down at the island's inn with a beautiful sea view. There is also a kiosk on the island, which is open from May to September.
Svaneke Chocolaterie
In the middle of lovely, lovely Svaneke, in one of the really fine, yellow half-timbered houses with a red tiled roof, of which there are so many in the town, you will find a place that both adults and children will greatly enjoy visiting.
Svaneke Chocolaterie's beautiful shop on Svaneke Square is brimming with chocolate of every kind. And of very high quality.
Come by, for example, and try the homemade and hand-dipped cream puffs or buy chocolate bars or filled chocolates in exactly the flavour you dream of.
The exact flavours change regularly, and small batches are made to ensure that the selection is always completely fresh. If you dream of a very special flavour, you can order it in the shop or over the phone and pick it up when it suits you.
In the summer, you can also get delicious soft-serve ice cream in different varieties in the shop, which is definitely worth a visit - both for the mouth-watering products and the cosy surroundings - for young and old.
Svaneke Chocolaterie also has a shop in Rønne and a webshop you can order from.
The shops are open all year round and have open production on weekdays. You also have the opportunity to participate in one of Svaneke Chocolaterie's workshops, which are announced on an ongoing basis.
Surf Bornholm
Do you love being in the middle of nature and especially in and on the sea? Then it's a great idea to take a trip to the coastal town of Balka on the east side of Bornholm, where Surf Bornholm is located on the beach.
Surf Bornholm offers a range of different courses and experiences on the water, with everything from kitesurfing to guided cave snorkelling tours and rental of equipment and boats for trips on the water on your own.
Surf Bornholm's two most popular products are the beginner's course in windsurfing and the spectacular seal safaris.
If you want to learn to windsurf, you can take Surf Bornholm's two-day beginner's course, where you go from being a beginner to being able to windsurf completely on your own. The beginner's courses often have whole families participating, and children as young as 6 can take part in the beginner's courses.
The seal safaris are for those who want to get really close to the seals in the Baltic Sea. As in REALLY close! On the tours, you sail with experienced expedition leaders around cliffs and skerries near Christiansø and snorkel with the seals in wetsuits.
If you are curious about experiences in and on the water at Bornholm, Surf Bornholm is the one to contact.
Ekkodalshuset
In the middle of the beautiful Ekkodalen (Echo Valley) in Denmark's fifth-largest forest, Almindingen, lies Ekkodalshuset, a traditional eatery with roots dating back to the 19th century.
The restaurant serves classic dishes with a twist.
For example, you don't just get ordinary 'tarteletter' (chicken and asparagus in pastry shells) here; you get giant 'tarteletter' with about 500 grams of homemade filling from free-range chickens, and many visit the place to try one of the impressive 'tarteletter'.
You can eat both indoors and outdoors, surrounded by the valley's beautiful rock formations and the tranquillity of the forest.
Ekkodalshuset is also known for hosting a steady stream of concerts with up to 350 guests outside in the beautiful natural surroundings, featuring artists who particularly had their heyday in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It is, all in all, a wonderfully vibrant house with good energy to step into when you visit.
Besides the idyllic restaurant and the many events, many people naturally visit the place in connection with their visit to Ekkodalen, and you can, of course, also get a good cup of coffee or a 'krøllebølle' soft-serve ice cream before or after your trip out into Ekkodalen.

Stop by Nordre Kystvej 5 in Rønne if you need a quality bike for your trip to Bornholm.
Football Golf and Park Golf Bornholm
When you are driving on the north side of the island between Gudhjem and Tejn, it's a great idea to turn off the coastal road and head to an old half-timbered house if you're into ball games and beautiful natural surroundings.
Here you will find both a so-called park golf course and a football golf course.
Both with a direct view over the vast Baltic Sea.
Park golf is played with larger balls than in normal golf and on 2 × 9 holes with courses ranging from 30 to 100 metres, where the terrain's natural obstacles make each shot a small challenge.
The game follows many of the well-known rules from regular golf, but it is less technical to get into and requires neither great experience nor equipment, as everything can be borrowed on site.
The site's football golf course consists of 19 holes spread over about one and a half kilometres with a beautiful view over the sea.
You can try both football golf and park golf at absolutely affordable prices.
The entire varied golf facility is located at Helligdomsvej 11, 3760 Gudhjem.
Bornholm Aero
Do you need to see Bornholm from a whole new angle?
Then we can recommend a trip to Bornholm's airport to book a time with Bornholm Aero, which offers scenic flights over the rocky island.
In fact, you can go flying for only 550 kroner per person for the shortest scenic flights, all of which start at the airport just south of Rønne.
The short scenic flights last about 15 minutes and take you either north and around Hasle or southeast along the coast.
You can also choose longer durations with trips of 30-50 minutes at absolutely reasonable prices.
The 30-minute tours take you in different directions across the island, and if you choose the tour of about 50 minutes' duration, you will fly all the way around the island along the beautiful coastline.
Bornholm has a very varied coastline and nature. You will see this in the most beautiful way from above.

Bakkarøgeriet
No trip to Bornholm is complete without a visit to one of the island's classic smokehouses!
One of the cosiest and most authentic versions of its kind can be found right down by the water and the long, white beaches in the holiday area of Østre Sømarken.
The smokehouse is easy to spot when you arrive, with its large chalk-white chimneys, and you can sit both inside in a rather unique environment with fishing nets on the ceiling and half-timbered walls.
Just as you can, of course, sit outside and enjoy the most beautiful view far out over the water.
The atmosphere is thus top-notch, and so is the food.
You can enjoy a wide selection of fish dishes such as the popular dish “Sømarkens Stjerneskud” (Sømarken's Shooting Star), fish platters with a strong selection of homemade specialities, and also dishes like grilled pork loin and much more.
In Bakkarøgeriet's shop, you will also find a large selection of fresh smoked goods, and all menus can also be bought as takeaway. How about, for example, enjoying a round of “Sol over Gudhjem” (Sun over Gudhjem) down on the beach right outside the shop with your feet at the water's edge?
Bornholm's Christmas Market
Every year at Christmas time, something particularly cosy happens at Nexø Harbour on the eastern side of the island.
During the four weekends of Advent, a particularly atmospheric Christmas market is held with small wooden stalls decorated with fir and with the scent of mulled wine and Christmas treats hanging in the air.
With its base at the harbour and in central Nexø, Bornholm's Christmas Market has established itself as an unmissable Christmas experience if you are visiting Bornholm during the sweet Christmas season.
Here you will find lots of cosy stalls filled with Christmas specialities, Bornholm foods, and beautiful craft items of every conceivable kind.
You can also just sit back and enjoy a Christmas beer or Christmas food from one of the food stalls and soak up the fine Christmas atmosphere.
The Christmas market is incredibly cosy to visit when darkness falls and the many Christmas lights are lit around the stalls right here on the edge of the harbour basins.
Wonderfestiwall
In North Bornholm, the music festival Wonderfestiwall is held every year in August in the incredibly beautiful Bornholm landscape right by Hammershus. You can experience a broad music programme with popular artists and lots of wonderful and happy atmosphere over the festival's four days. In addition to the music, there are also many other activities on the festival site, which generally exudes a good atmosphere.
When you step into the festival area, you immediately feel the energy from the various stages and areas on the festival site, where live music fills the air, and where you move between concerts with lots of high spirits and shared experiences. The audience can enjoy both well-known names and new artists, so there is something for every taste.
