May I bring my dog to the accommodation?

It is not permitted in all our accommodations in Italy to bring a dog, so always ask before booking.

Dog in Italy

Our descriptions do not state whether dogs are allowed or not. The reason for this is that it often depends on what kind of dog you want to bring.

Italian homeowners are concerned that dogs will damage their accommodations, that they will lie on sofas and beds, making it impossible to clean properly for subsequent guests. Furthermore, they are afraid that the dog might disturb other guests who may be staying on the property.
Because of this, they would like to know the breed and how the dog behaves before giving their permission.

Show respect if you bring your dog to Italy.

Bringing a dog is only granted if you have stated in your inquiry that you have a dog and you have received a written confirmation that it is allowed.

In all circumstances, it is the dog owner's responsibility to ensure that the dog does not damage anything in the accommodation, dig in the garden, or disturb other guests.

Fees may apply for a stay with pets. Most often, it is a cost for extra cleaning, and this is paid directly to the homeowner in Italy.
