The Parforce Hunting Landscape in North Zealand The Parforce Hunting Landscape in North Zealand is a coherent cultural and natural landscape that stretches across several municipalities and consists of three historic forest areas: Jægersborg Dyrehave with Jægersborg Hegn, Gribskov, and Store Dyrehave.

Therefore, in the forests today, you encounter an exciting and precise network of long, straight roads, star-shaped intersections, and open sightlines, created to control movement and overview during the hunt. The light shifts between open plains and dense forest spaces, and the strict geometry still stands in clear contrast to the tranquility of nature, whether you are walking or cycling.
The special structure makes it exciting to explore the landscape via hiking and cycling routes that follow the historic hunting paths, and to pass significant points such as crossroads, hunting stars, and forest structures that connect the three forests.
The forests are publicly accessible all year round with paths and roads, and access may vary due to nature management.
