Visiting Charlotte and Miguel’s Nørrebro gem
We venture to the heart of Nørrebro to visit Charlotte and Miguel in their soulful apartment. As a visual artist and a digital learning specialist, the couple has created a space where creativity and international exchange naturally coexist. For them, sharing their home with Landfolk guests is a natural extension of their love for travel.
“The interior reflects our love for early modernist designers and bold colours, layered with souvenirs from Japan and my own work as an artist,” Charlotte says. “The most important thing is that the objects here bring joy and curiosity to everyone who enters”.
Stepping into the apartment, you immediately feel that this is a home where art and personal stories are the true foundations of the interior, creating a space that feels both eclectic and harmoniously balanced.

Music is a central part of the home’s atmosphere, with several instruments that Miguel plays regularly and a vinyl collection of old records inherited from their parents. “There's something so special about putting on a 50-year-old salsa record that Miguel's mother brought to us all the way from Venezuela,” Charlotte says.
The heart of the apartment is the connected kitchen and dining room. It is a space designed for cooking, talking, eating, and sometimes even dancing.
"We have friends over all the time for dinners, Sunday lunches, or just a glass of wine. There is always music playing and food cooking" Miguel says.
A cosmopolitan sanctuary with character
For Miguel and Charlotte, Nørrebro is the most authentic part of the city - a place that has kept its soul and vibrant life. "It hasn't been gentrified to death; it still has so much character," they explain. When they are away, they find peace in knowing someone is taking care of their home, while guests get to step into a space filled with everyday rituals.
Whether it's a freshly brewed drip coffee in the morning or discovering a 100-year-old "shipwreck vase" from a flea market in Osaka, the home is a testament to a life lived with curiosity. "Sharing our home makes so much sense to us. It is lovely to be able to share our love for art and design with people from around the world, who have decided to visit Copenhagen" they say.

Charlotte and Miguel’s Nørrebro favourites
Freshly baked bread: A quick walk through the park takes you to HART, which is a local favorite. We also highly recommend Collective Bakery for your morning pastry.
The local coffee spot: Dzidra is our go-to spot for a great cup of coffee or a ‘Friday beer’ in a relaxed atmosphere.
Drinks and wine: For a glass of wine, Pompette is a must. If the sun is out, we love Lille Musling for beers, and for a smoky, late-night whisky sour, Esrom Kroen is the perfect place to be.
A place for calm breaks: Hans Tavsens Park, located right next to the cemetery, is a bit of a hidden gem. It is the best spot for an afternoon picnic or simply soaking up the sun during summer.
