My name is Jannie and since I was 10 years old I have spent my summer holidays in our summer house. My parents bought it in 1994 and renovated it, so there are many childhood memories from here. Over time I have owned it with my brothers, but last year I took it over myself. We have been here for weekends to relax and then children came along. We have two children, aged 5 and 7, and now the cottage allows us to feel a bit of freedom again. We are in the process of giving the cottage a makeover because we love being there. We want it to be more cosy and personal. We enjoy that there is room for all of us and that we can have guests at the same time. Nature is right outside the door, the walk down to the water is short, and it's great that we can take a bike ride into Hvide Sande.
Our favourite places in the area are definitely some of the amazing mountain bike tracks and trails - it's a really beautiful way into town by bike. Westwind Syd is right next to Ringkøbing, and from here it's not far to the fjord. If it's a bit too windy on the west side, you can just head to the east side. Stop there and grab a good cup of coffee. Enjoy the view and watch the amateur surfers.
