We are a family of four; Ida and Emil, and our two children Hans, seven, and Hannah, three. We live on Holmen in Copenhagen. The summer house in Asserbo is our sanctuary, where our shoulders slump as soon as we arrive. Previously, there was only forest on the plot, which is why our house is the first one on the plot. We have tried to preserve as much as possible and leave everything wild. This means abundant wildlife all year round and ultimate relaxation as it requires no maintenance.
When we're not in the house, we spend a lot of time in the forest in Asserbo Plantage and on the long, pristine beaches that are a unique feature of the area. No houses, ice houses or other disturbances, just beaches and nature. We often go mountain biking in the forest, taking our bikes to either Liseleje or Tisvildeleje, or to Arresø, which is just around the corner.
