We had a lovely stay, and we really appreciated the hospitality and care that you’ve shown us. As you warned us about, most of the restaurants and shops were closed, and unfortunately Google wasn’t up to date with the openingtimes. Luckily, the kitchen was amazing and very complete, both the appliances and cutlery as well as the oil, pepper etc. The beds were comfortable and the blinds worked perfectly. We prefer to have the room completely dark and that was no issue. The fireplace added a lot to the cosy vibe of the cabin, especially during the rainy days. It was great that everything was included to use the fireplace and the amount of wood included was more than sufficient. The view from the cabin was amazing and we enjoyed just watching the different kind of birds that flew around. The only improvement that we could think of is that during our stay a common blackbird (Merel in Dutch) tried to fly through the big Windows three times. The poor bird was okay luckily, but maybe there is a solution to prevent that? All in all, our stay had been fantastic. So thank you very much for letting us stay in the amazing cabin and being such lovely hosts!

We had the most wonderful September weekend in Hjarbæk. The vacation home is very cozy—it’s in a beautiful location with a fantastic view, which we really enjoyed. The house had everything we needed. We’d love to come back.

A lovely, personal, and tastefully decorated place. It had everything we needed, was within walking distance of the ocean, and close to the fish market and the bakery.

All in all, a nice vacation home, but unfortunately I don’t think it quite lived up to the photos on Landfolk’s website. The dining table lamp had been removed, and a window had been broken by the previous guests the week before, which was unfortunate for the landlord. The vacation home has a lovely aesthetic with nice details and beautiful furniture, but there was quite a bit of clutter in both the drawers and cabinets. The cleaning could also have been a bit better. Despite these minor details, we had a few pleasant days with a great view and some walks by the water. / Susanne Erbs
