Idyll and open spaces on Skarø in the archipelago

You arrive by ferry from Svendborg and travel through the idyllic landscapes of Skarø until you finally arrive at Enghuset, which feels like it's at the end of the world.

With its half-timbering, exposed beams and wide plank floors, the cottage is the epitome of a charming country house. It has been lovingly renovated with respect for the soul of the house and its surroundings. The lovely living rooms invite you to cozy up around the wood-burning stove, read, play games and spend long evenings talking, socializing and enjoying good meals. There are several atmospheric bedrooms, sleeping arrangements in the living rooms and not least a lovely loft that older children will love to occupy, so the holiday home is particularly suitable for a larger family or several pairs of friends traveling together.

At Enghuset, life should be lived outside where you can enjoy the breeze, the view and the wonderful grounds. Drink your morning coffee on the east-facing terrace as the sun rises and spend the day in the south-facing garden where the beautiful old trees provide shade and you can climb to the top of the ash tree and look out towards Drejø and Hjortø from the small platform. When the small village church bells ring in the evening at 6 pm, you can retreat to the west-facing square and enjoy the quiet evening hour as the sun sets, darkness falls and the stars peek out above you.
