Architect-designed cabin near Trillemarka

This cabin was designed by the architect himself, who took special care to showcase the beautiful property and the surrounding nature to their fullest potential. The buildings form a courtyard that opens up to the southwest, where sunlight and a magnificent view await you. The entire cabin is built on a single level and features a continuous roofline that connects the rooms.

Inside, you’ll find a warm contrast between light birch veneer surfaces and hard materials like concrete and stone. Large windows let in sunlight and nature, while the step-free access to the terrace ensures that the outdoor area becomes a natural extension of the living room in the summer. The house is well-insulated and equipped with a controlled ventilation system.

A large part of the addition is set up as a sauna. Here you can warm up after winter excursions in the snow.

Between the Sigdal and Numedal valleys lies Trillemarka-Rollagsfjell, a paradise of untouched primeval forest, deep gorges, and bare mountain peaks with sweeping views. Here you can follow historic mountain trails to the Madonna statue, experience the spring festival “Orreleik,” or try your luck fishing in the many lakes. In summer, Breiløk invites you to swim, while fall and winter offer everything from small game hunting to groomed cross-country trails in a historic cultural landscape.
