We stayed at the villa La Stalla Il Sole Verde, which is located closest to the pool. An authentic Italian villa with a nice kitchen and two lovely bedrooms. It’s a bit close to the road, but we quickly got used to it. The location itself, between Bucine and Mercatale Valdano, is really nice. It’s convenient both for grocery shopping and for day trips to Arezzo, Siena, Florence, etc.
The house itself shows its age, but everything worked. With a few upgrades here and there, the place would be even more perfect.
The front terrace was nice for relaxing and dining, with a view of the vineyard.
The pool is a bit dated, but it was great for lounging in. And it’s perfect for families with young children, since it’s 90–100 cm deep at the shallow end and 145–150 cm deep at the deep end. Our kids loved it.
