There's probably no better way to start the day than with a fresh sea breeze caressing your morning-weary faces as you watch the sun get ready for a new day. Then take the kids to nearby Fru Møllers Mølleri, which has the cosiest farm shop, ice cream parlour, butcher and a great restaurant. Here you can buy delicious produce to take home for dinner, have a nice ice cream or take the kids to the stables to watch the pigs, cows and lambs. Our names are Jane and Palle, and we live in Åbyhøj near Aarhus. A year ago we bought this wonderful holiday home at Dyngby Strand. Over the past year, we have been renovating the cottage ourselves. We very much enjoy spending our time together in the cottage. We are active people, and fortunately, the cottage is located at a distance from our home that allows us to cycle out here on our mountain bikes. We especially love being at the beach, where we either swim, walk or run, or head out to sea in our kayaks. Luckily, our cottage is just 100 steps from the most beautiful sandy beach, Dyngby Strand, so we spend a lot of time here when we are at the cottage. We also enjoy going for a walk to Saksild, which is only a kilometer away from Dyngby. Here we play mini golf, eat pizza and enjoy a nice ice cream. But we also enjoy coming back to Dyngby, where it's quieter and calmer. It's our sanctuary where we relax and enjoy time with our family.
