Five bedrooms, surprisingly spacious rooms, and a Corten steel facade that blends into the village like a simple barn: This house in the national park doesn’t reveal its true character until you take a second look.
This 80-square-meter oasis of comfort, designed in the Japanese minimalist style, features a 6-meter-high ceiling and a large wood-burning stove for cooler days. The 40-square-meter kitchen-living room, with a freestanding cooking island and a spacious dining area, offers plenty of room. Built from natural materials and wood, the house smells wonderfully fresh.
In the garden stands an old apple tree, under which you can sit by the campfire at dusk until the only sounds are your own breathing and the crackling of the fire.
The national park is perfect for forest bathing. Crystal-clear lakes like Fürstenseer See, with its natural swimming area, and the narrow Luzin Lake with its goat pasture are the highlights of the area. At Café Kudu, diagonally across the street, you’ll find homemade cake, cappuccino, and Aperol Spritz.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

I built this house myself, entirely out of wood and natural materials, without any plastic at all. The barn-style design blends into the village; behind it lies a place meant to offer peace and warmth.
