This house is located in the village of Guatiza, inside a restored stone workshop that once belonged to the local blacksmith. Designed for two people, life here unfolds at a deliberately leisurely pace: no television, with morning light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace that the hosts describe as their favorite spot to enjoy long breakfasts or simply do nothing.
The warm white wooden ceilings, natural materials, and handcrafted lamps give the interior a calm, minimalist atmosphere inspired by the architecture of César Manrique. A projector is available for watching a movie in the evening, and there are also books and music at your disposal. The king-size bed, spacious bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and high-speed Wi-Fi are ideal for both a long weekend and a stay of several weeks.
The house shares a garden and heated pool with a neighboring home. Each has its own generously sized private terrace, carefully positioned so that both feel truly independent from one another.
Lanzarote is best explored at a leisurely pace. Timanfaya, the Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes, and the ferry from Órzola to La Graciosa are all well worth a visit. Among the hidden gems are the family-run wineries of La Geria, the Sunday market in Mancha Blanca, the coastal walks between the Jameos del Agua and Punta Mujeres, and the hiking trails through Guatiza and the Caldera de Los Cuervos.

Hi, I'm Darek.
Together with my husband Andrzej, we're the owners of Casitas Santa Rita.
We first came to Lanzarote almost fifteen years ago for a holiday. We had no idea that one day we would call this island home.
We kept coming back. At first once a year. Then twice. Then every time we could.
With every visit, Lanzarote slowly revealed another side of itself. Not through famous attractions, but through friendships, quiet villages and countless small moments that slowly changed the way we looked at life. Little by little, what had started as a holiday began to feel like home.
Years later, almost by coincidence, we found an old blacksmith's house in the village of Guatiza. It had only been put on the market a few days earlier.
The house had a soul.
I had always dreamed of living in an old house, and somehow this one felt as if it had been waiting for us.
We fell in love with it almost immediately and decided to buy it, selling everything we owned in Poland to begin a completely new chapter of our lives.
Over the next few years, we carefully restored the property. Little by little, the house became what we had imagined from the very first day we saw it.
Today this old blacksmith's house is our home. The former blacksmith's workshops have become two completely independent holiday casitas, each with its own private terrace. From the very beginning, we designed them to be peaceful, private and surrounded by nature—the kind of place we ourselves had been looking for during all those years of returning to Lanzarote.
Today we share our home with Tarzan, our rescued dog, and our cats, Igo and Luna. Our two casitas are named after our much-loved cats, Luna and Coco, who have been part of our story from the very beginning.
Now we'd love to share it with you.
